Alex Lynch is an award-winning London-based writer from Brighton with credits from BBC Three and Radio 4 - including his own 4-part series, 'Expenses Only', which he had commissioned when he was just 24.
He is part of the award-winning team on the multi-award winning and Prix-Europa-nominated sitcom podcast, 'Wooden Overcoats' - which was named as one of TIME Magazine's '50 Best Podcasts of All Time' - as well as writing for other popular podcasts and writing/producing his own series 'All Glory' and 'The Adventures of Professor Elemental' (co-written and co-produced with Prof Elemental). He has also written for The Now Show, The News Quiz.
Alex has written two short films - 'Mugged' and 'Jack and Jill'. The second of which was nominated for Best Comedy at LOCO and London Short Film Festival in 2016. Finally, he has written commercials for Picturehouse Cinemas starring Terry Mynott.

As an actor, Alex has performed two solo character shows (which he also wrote) at Vault Festival 2018 and 2019, as well as lending his voice to a number of podcasts, starring in O2's 'Some People' advert for the Rugby World Cup 2018 and acting in a variety of shows at Brighton Fringe. He also trained in long-form improvisation at the Free Association.

As well as this, Alex has worked in TV and Radio development and production for almost 9 years in numerous roles including Researcher, Script Reader and Development Producer for top companies which include BBC, Tiger Aspect, CPL Productions and Avalon Television to name a few.

In 2021, Alex became a resident writer for Norwegian company JMG Stories, partners of Zero Gravity (Ozark, Honest Thief, Fear of Rain) writing their drama series 'Love. Lost', writing and script editing their sitcom 'Chris 24', and co-writing their rom-com feature 'The Honeymoon Period'. He also had his audio adaptation of Beatrix Potter Tales with Almost Tangible win Best Children's Audiobook at the New York Festival Radio Awards.
Alex also produces and hosts the interview podcast, 'Out of Character' for Acast. Formerly a show of the now-disbanded Great Big Owl Family, the show is part of Future Ghost productions. Three series of the podcast are now available.

Alex's latest venture is horror comedy anthology audio drama podcast, 'Ramon Fear's Terror Tapes' which launched in October 2022 and since then has received 5 stars on Spotify and 4.9 stars on Apple. Alex co-creates, co-writes and co-produces as part of House of Fear Productions with co-writer Sam Thomas, co-producer & composer Odinn Orn Hilamarsson and director Alexandra Morris. The complete first series is available now from ramonfear.com and wherever you get your podcasts. The show also recently became part of the comedy podcast network Podomedy.

2020-Present - Various - Copywriting work including email templates, research and marketing materials for companies such as The Specialist Works and Infographics Pro. In the summer of 2023, I was hired as a strapline writer for Talk TV.

2019 - BBC Studios - Writing programme descriptions, info sheets and proof-reading for BBC's catalogue for MipCom 2019 in Cannes.
2014 - 2017 - BBC Radio 4 - Previously I have written various programme descriptions and billings for an array of different Radio 4 comedies and dramas including the 10-hour 'War and Peace' event on New Years Day 2015. You can read my copy work for that one here.

2021 - Present - I worked as a script editor and consultant for JMG Stories and Zero Gravity across a wide range of scripts on their development slate for TV and Film until 2023. In 2023, I worked as a script editor and coordinator for various BBC Radio 4 productions, most recently with Talawa Theatre company for their new series of one-off radio dramas.

2012 - 2020 - Writing TV and Film script and book reports for companies such as BBC, Studio Canal, Tiger Aspect, Eleven Film, Hat Trick, Left Bank, Pier Productions, Lucky Giant, Ruby Films, Working Title and Mammoth Screen.

2015 - 2018 - I script edited a host of Radio 4 comedies and dramas during my 2 and a half years working in Development at Pier Productions. Since then I have gained freelance script consultant work. I have also script supervised projects for BBC Bitesize and Absolutely Productions.
